What Happened?
On June 24th, 2018, Miss Angie was walking on the sidewalk to her car. It was about 10:00 p.m. at night when she stepped forward and tripped over a raised part of the sidewalk. She fell down to the ground on the right side of her body, hitting her shoulder and knee. The next day, she was in so much pain that she went to Montefiore Medical Center where she was evaluated, treated, and released home.
As a result of the accident, Miss Angie suffered injuries to her right shoulder (fracture and derangement with rotator cuff tear) and right knee. The pain in her shoulder often radiated to the elbow and felt worse at night. When minimally invasive pain management therapy did not improve her shoulder, Miss Angie received pain management injections and underwent surgery to her right shoulder on September 17th, 2018. The injuries Miss Angie sustained from the accident caused her to miss approximately 5 months of work.
Miss Angie’s main focus was to get better. She didn’t really know if she had a case and if she should try to hire a lawyer. Soon after the accident, she went to a BBQ and a friend there asked her if she had a lawyer yet. Miss Angie said she didn’t and her friend excitedly said, “Good because I got a great lawyer for you!” Her friend had recently settled their case with Adam Handler and told Miss Angie to call him right away. With the help of our experienced Queens sidewalk trip and fall accident lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, Miss Angie recovered $225,000.00!
