What Happened?
On June 17th, 2021, Sean was driving slowly due to traffic on Grand Central Parkway near Exit 13S when he was rear ended by another vehicle. The force of the impact caused him to jerk forward and then backward. After getting the other driver’s information, Sean went to Urgent-MD in Cedarhurst, NY where he was evaluated, treated, and released home.
As a result of the accident, Sean suffered injuries to his neck, back, and right knee. Over the next few days after the accident, his symptoms persisted. He received chiropractic care and physical therapy three to four times per week. When minimally invasive pain management therapy did not improve his knee, Sean underwent right knee surgery on September 29th, 2021. He was unable to go back to work for several months after the accident.
Thankfully, Sean heard about The Case Handler team and gave us a call. While the other driver did provide proof of insurance, our team discovered that the other driver’s insurance policy was canceled on January 7th, 2021 because he stopped paying. The other driver’s insurance said Sean’s bodily injury claim was not covered and therefore denied! With the help of our experienced Queens NY uninsured claims lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP and thanks to the supplemental uninsured/underinsured motorist (SUM) coverage he had, Sean recovered the maximum policy limits of $50,000.00!
