What Happened?
On April 10th, 2021, Jeremiah was driving with two individuals going northbound on Atlantic Avenue in Queens, NY. Since he had a green light, he began to turn left onto 84th Street. He almost made it through the intersection when a speeding vehicle crashed into the passenger’s side of his car! His car skidded on the road and flipped over! Jeremiah hit his head and sustained a laceration on his left arm where the airbags deployed. He was taken by ambulance to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was evaluated, received four stitches to his left arm, and discharged home with a prescription for pain medication.
Jeremiah injured his neck, shoulders, lower back, left elbow/hand, and left knee due to the accident. The pain in his neck caused him to experience numbness in his left hand/fingers and he was unable to lift his arms because of the pain he felt in his shoulders. Jeremiah had difficulty bending down due to his lower back pain and his left knee pain felt worse with ambulation. For months he attended physical therapy and participated in a daily home exercise program. Thankfully, he was able to continue working on light duty and was not required to undergo surgery.
As a long-time listener to our show, Cruising with The Case Handler on 93.5 FM radio, Jeremiah decided to give our team a call two days after the accident happened. He received the medical care that he needed and, with the help of our skilled Queens left turn accident lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, all of his medical bills were paid and we were able to recover the maximum policy limit (global settlement to be divided between 3 parties) from the Defendant’s insurance company AND from Jeremiah’s underinsured motorist coverage for a total settlement of $25,000 for Jeremiah!
