What Happened?
On September 14th, 2019, The Gunner was driving through the intersection of 188th Street and Grand Central Parkway when he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Another car entered the intersection illegally and struck the driver’s side of his car. Instead of stopping after the collision, the other driver fled the scene of the accident! He suffered head trauma, but no loss of consciousness thankfully. He went to the emergency room at Queens Hospital, where he was evaluated and discharged home less than 24 hours later.
As a result of the accident, The Gunner suffered injuries to his neck, back, left shoulder, and hips. He felt constant neck pain radiating to the upper extremities that was associated with a sensation of weakness to his left hand, constant mid-back pain that intensified with prolonged standing, and left hip pain that was exacerbated with prolonged standing or walking. He suffered a rotator cuff tear to his left shoulder that required surgical intervention on December 5th, 2019. The Gunner was confined to his bed for approximately 4 weeks and was totally incapacitated from his employment for approximately 3 weeks.
The Gunner was involved in another accident a few years prior to this accident and he initially hired a different law firm. Since his case was not going well with the other firm, he found our team and never looked back! As a past client of ours, he came straight to Adam Handler after the hit-and-run accident. Taking on a case that involves a client with a previous accident and similar injuries can be complicated. While other attorneys may reject complex cases like these, The Case Handler team does not. With the help of our resilient Queens hit and run accident lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, we found the driver that fled the scene and we were able to recover $75,000.00 for The Gunner!
