What Happened?
On October 12th, 2021, Samuel was driving south on Waltham Street when another driver heading west on 105th Avenue did not stop properly at the stop sign and began crossing the Waltham Street intersection. Samuel had the right-of-way when he began crossing through the intersection but was suddenly struck by the other driver that failed to yield! When the collision occurred, he remembered hitting his head and the airbags deploy. He was taken by ambulance to a Queens hospital where he was evaluated, treated, and released home.
Samuel injured his neck, shoulders, lower back, and left knee due to the accident. He complained of neck pain with numbness and tingling around his shoulders. Any overhead activities worsened the pain he felt in his shoulders. His lower back pain made it difficult for him to bend down and his left knee pain made it difficult to ambulate. After months of physical therapy, the pain in his left knee was completely gone and his other injuries slowly improved as well. Thankfully, minimally invasive pain management was successful and he was able to avoid surgery.
His mother’s coworker was a past client of ours! Thanks to this coworker, Samuel learned about The Case Handler team and called us the very next day after the accident. While Samuel stated that the other driver failed to stop at the stop sign, the Defendant claimed that they DID stop at the stop sign before crossing when Samuel crashed into them. Despite liability issues, our skilled Queens car crossing accident attorney at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP helped Samuel pay all of his medical bills and recover compensation from the other driver’s insurance company!
