What Happened?
On May 16, 2016, Estar was driving a van filled with plywood to Port Chester. Due to construction up ahead on Boston Post Road in Westchester County, the left lane merged to the right lane. While Estar was entering the construction zone on the right lane, a vehicle driving on the left lane recklessly attempted to merge into Estar’s lane with not enough room to safely merge. The vehicle struck Estar’s van on the front left tire. The plywood in Estar’s vehicle flew forward, hitting Estar from behind, and her right hand struck the dashboard of the van. Estar was evaluated at Greenwich Hospital Emergency Room in Connecticut and was released the same day.
As a result of the accident, Estar injured her neck, mid-back, right shoulder, right knee and right wrist. She had difficulty with lifting, prolonged sitting, sleeping and working (lost 12 work days). She faithfully attended physical therapy and participated in an at-home exercise program. After failed attempts to improve her right wrist through conservative treatment, Estar underwent surgery to her dominant right wrist.
Estar was a past client of Adam and had some knowledge of the personal injury process. So with that, she bravely began the process by herself to see what Progressive insurance would offer her. After they offered $25,000, she didn’t think that was fair and did not want to take the chance of accepting their offer. So the next call she made was to The Case Handler team! Adam stepped in and knew just how to tackle Progressive insurance for Estar. With Adam Handler, Estar was offered DOUBLE the amount of compensation she would have received had she done it alone!
