“Adam and Matt did a solid job on my New York City construction accident case. I really appreciate their hard work in getting me a settlement and would recommend them to anyone who was in an accident. I heard about The Case Handler on the radio and everyone I spoke to told me there was only one lawyer to use. THE PEOPLE'S LAWYER. If you ever need help with a case, don't be foolish. You need to call these guys!!! Big ups to The Case Handler team at PPID. Respect!!!!”
- Caesar from Brooklyn, New York
What Happened?
On April 15, 2019, Caesar was working on a construction project for an energy company in New York City. While standing on a scaffold platform and breaking a wall, a strong gust of wind dislodged an improperly secured scaffold plank from above. Weighing approximately 40 lbs, the plank plummeted about 15 feet, striking Caesar on the top of his head (protected by a hard hat), neck, and left shoulder, causing him to twist his left foot and ankle as he fell onto his knees. Despite the severity of the incident, Caesar initially faced pressure from the person in charge of the construction crew not to seek medical attention, with warnings of potential job loss if he did so. Despite this, he later went to Kings County Hospital Emergency Room, where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged.
The accident resulted in significant injuries to Caesar’s head, neck, left shoulder, and left foot. He experienced symptoms including blurred vision, headaches, and neck pain exacerbated by head motion, along with radiating pain to his upper extremities and occasional numbness and tingling sensations. Furthermore, his foot pain was concentrated on the dorsal side and worsened with weight-bearing activities. Despite undergoing conservative physical therapy, pain management injections, cervical spine (neck) surgery, and left shoulder surgery, Caesar continued to experience residual pathology to his muscular and supportive structures of the cervical and lumbar spine. Regrettably, a full recovery to his pre-accident level of functioning was deemed unlikely, with Caesar facing permanent injuries.
Initially, Caesar hired a different lawyer. We’ve said it many times, but if your lawyer’s name is not Adam Handler - you have the wrong lawyer. Having heard powerful testimonials about our team on the radio and word-of-mouth recommendations, Caesar switched to The Case Handler team, knowing that we offered the best chance at securing the financial compensation he deserved. With the dedicated legal assistance of our excellent NYC construction accident lawyer, Caesar’s medical expenses were covered, and he successfully obtained a substantial $4 million settlement!
