What Happened?
On July 25, 2017, Clara was driving on Route 135 between Exit 5 and the Southern State Parkway in Nassau County, New York. She was stopped in traffic in the far-right lane when she was unexpectedly rear-ended. There were three cars involved in the accident and Clara’s vehicle was the last to be struck from behind (see image below). Clara’s son came to the scene and drove her to Mercy Medical Center where she was evaluated.
Clara suffered injuries to her head, neck, back and shoulders. She described radiating pain from her neck to her shoulders. Her back pain felt constant and aggravated whenever she shifted positions. Clara also experienced pain with day-to-day activities such as bending, lifting, and other strenuous movements. Thankfully, Clara did not have to get back surgery. She endured months of physical therapy for her injuries (three times a week). She was advised to take a few weeks off work until she was reevaluated as well.
Clara heard about Adam, but never wrote down his name and phone number. After her accident, she could not remember Adam’s full name and tried searching for him online with no luck. After thinking about it more, she remembered the well-known “Case Handler” name and found Adam Handler online! Clara decided to come straight to Adam for legal assistance. The Case Handler team at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP worked with the insurance company until a suitable settlement was reached for Clara!
