New York Construction Accident Lawyers: Jordan

What Happened?

On September 11th, 2017, Jordan was working as a demolition worker in Westchester County, New York. While he was using a jackhammer, two of his co-workers were working on a heavy steel beam overhead when it became dislodged and fell onto Jordan’s back. Jordan was initially transported by ambulance to Phelps Hospital and then transferred that same day to Westchester Medical Center for more definitive treatment. Due to his severe injuries, he underwent surgery right away to repair a fractured femur (right subtrochanteric femur fracture). He remembered going in for surgery and then his wife reported that he was in the intensive care unit and sedated for almost a month.

As a result of the construction incident, Jordan suffered a right femur fracture that required immediate surgery as mentioned above. He was placed in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator due to his severe injuries. Jordan also had a tracheotomy done on September 22nd, 2017 (surgical procedure to insert a breathing tube), compression fractures to his spine, post concussive syndrome, tear of the thoracic aorta, traumatic injuries to the heart that resulted in a heart attack (acute myocardial infarction) on March 3rd, 2018, and several other injuries. The worst area of pain he felt was in his mid-back area and he described the pain as a constant and sharp pain that traveled around his chest. Jordan was confined to the hospital from September 11, 2017 through October 7, 2017 and has been totally disabled since the accident.

About a week after the accident, while Jordan was still in a medically induced coma, his wife made the choice to contact our team for legal help. The minute we received that phone call, we immediately began thinking about jury selection and making preparations to take Jordan’s case to trial. Our team carefully and thoroughly documented evidence in Jordan’s case that included taking multiple videos and photos of him coming out of the coma, taking his first steps after having surgery, and more throughout Jordan’s recovery that ultimately led our team to an outstanding multi-million dollar recovery for him! With the help of our top New York construction accident lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, Jordan got the medical treatment he needed, his medical bills paid, and millions of dollars in his bank account!
