What Happened?
On September 11th, 2018, Carey was driving south on I-95 in the left lane when he slowed down to a complete stop in traffic due to heavy rain. At that moment, a tractor-trailer further behind in the right lane made a quick decision to move into Carey’s lane to try and avoid the slowing traffic in his lane. The tractor-trailer moved behind Carey only to realize that Carey’s vehicle was stopped in traffic! The tractor-trailer crashed into Carey, pushing his car into the concrete barrier! Carey was taken to the emergency department at Yale New Haven Hospital.
As a result of the accident, Carey suffered injuries to his neck and back. His neck pain, which felt worse on the right side, extended into the trapezius muscles with intermittent radiating pain into the right posterior shoulder. His back pain, also worse on the right side, extended across the paraspinal muscles with intermittent radiating pain into the right side of his lower back/upper thigh. Carey attended physical therapy and acupuncture sessions for several months. Unfortunately, the worsening pain in his lower back forced him to stop working for an extended period of time. When minimally invasive pain management options did not improve Carey’s condition, Carey underwent trigger point injections and back surgery (bilateral L5-S1 microdiscectomy).
After the accident, a coworker of Carey told him to call The Case Handler team! With the help of our skilled New Jersey tractor trailer accident lawyers, Carey recovered an impressive $300,000.00 settlement and all of his medical bills were paid! “They did a good job on my case. There’s no one else like them. If you get hurt, choose The Case Handler,” he said.
