What Happened?
On May 26, 2022, Joseph, then a teenager, was perched on the hood of a car belonging to an acquaintance as it idled through a high school parking lot. Suddenly, the driver accelerated, catching Joseph off guard, before slamming on the brakes abruptly. The jolt sent Joseph tumbling off the car, and as he hit the ground, the car began to move forward and ran over Joseph’s leg. Initially, the driver claimed to authorities that he had been accelerating at the time of Joseph’s fall, conveniently omitting the fact that he had come to a stop. However, subsequent investigation revealed the truth. Joseph was swiftly transported to the hospital via ambulance, where he underwent evaluation and treatment before being discharged later the same day.
The aftermath of the accident left Joseph with injuries to his left knee and multiple road rash abrasions across his legs, ankles, and lower back. Although he retained the ability to walk, he grappled with considerable pain. Miraculously, the X-rays showed no fractures or dislocations, but Joseph still required meticulous wound care to address the superficial abrasion. Over the course of a few months, with diligent treatment, his wounds showed marked improvement.
Feeling overwhelmed in the aftermath of the incident, Joseph sought guidance from The Case Handler team! Despite the driver’s initial assertions, a witness’s testimony and security footage undeniably contradicted his account. With the assistance of our seasoned New Jersey school parking lot accident lawyer, Joseph’s medical expenses were covered, and he secured the MAXIMUM POLICY LIMIT of $100,000.00 from the driver’s insurance company in less than 5 months!
