What Happened?
On December 25th, 2019, Jasmine was the front seat passenger in a vehicle traveling southbound on South Columbus Avenue. At that same moment, there was another vehicle traveling eastbound on 4th Street when all of a sudden both vehicles collided with each other at the intersection of South Columbus Avenue and East 4th Street in Mount Vernon, New York. The airbags deployed and she was later taken by ambulance to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital where she was examined, treated, and discharged home several hours later.
Jasmine injured her neck, shoulders, low back, and left knee due to the accident. She described her pain as severe, constant, aching, and sharp. She attended physical therapy for several months with improvement in some of her injuries. Her left knee, unfortunately, continued to bother her mainly during weight-bearing activities, sitting, and using the stairs.
