What Happened?
It was a typical weekday morning for Wendy. On March 18, 2019, Wendy was walking to work. While on the crosswalk, she quickly noticed a speeding car heading in her direction. She knew the car was not going to stop in time. With no time to panic, she put her hands forward to brace for what was about to happen. The speeding car struck her, causing her to fall backwards. As a result, she got bruises over her body and a swollen left knee. The driver of the car – a pregnant woman – came to check on Wendy. Seeing her on the ground, she swiftly ran back to her car! As she was about to drive away, another person at the scene stopped her. The driver had NO driver’s license and NO car insurance! It was also the perfect opportunity for her contractions to start…and they did! The police came to the scene and both Wendy and the driver were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
After the accident, Wendy’s entire body was hurting. She felt excruciating pain in her neck, shoulder, and left knee. Due to her injuries, Wendy was limited in her abilities to bend, lift, carry, reach, perform household chores, and do other activities of daily living. Wendy attended physical therapy for several months, underwent an epidural injection, and underwent a discectomy (surgical removal of abnormal disc material that presses on a nerve root or spinal cord). Wendy had so much pain that she could not work for at least a week. When she was able to start working again, she worked in a partially disabled condition.
Thankfully, her husband listens to Adam Handler every morning while heading to work. When the accident happened, they were too traumatized to think of calling a lawyer. Later that evening, her husband remembered and said, “You have to call Adam!” She had no idea who Adam was, so (being a skeptic) Wendy researched into The Case Handler and was impressed enough to give The Case Handler team a call!
Much to her astonishment, the team at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP moved with such alacrity that when she called to sign up, she was immediately set up for Physical Therapy. As a pedestrian who was knocked down by an uninsured and unlicensed motorist; she would only be entitled to a mere $25,000.00 settlement. Since her husband listened to The Case Handler, he made the smart choice of taking out supplemental car insurance policy that had $100,000 coverage. As a result, The Case Handler team at PPID successfully recovered $100,000 for Wendy!
