What Happened?
On November 7th, 2021, Kingsley was pulling out of a parking spot on Utica Avenue going southbound. As he was safely preparing to make a U-turn to drive in the opposite direction, a speeding vehicle also traveling south slammed into the front driver’s side of Kingsley’s vehicle! The airbags deployed and he felt pain in the left shoulder area. Kingsley was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Kings County Hospital where he was evaluated, treated, and released home with pain medication and a sling for his arm.
Kingsley injured his left shoulder due to the accident. His pain typically felt worse when sleeping on his shoulder. As a result, Kingsley experienced difficulty sleeping, stiffness with certain movements, weakness, and increased pain with forward elevation. When conservative treatment failed to improve his left shoulder problems, he had left shoulder arthroscopic surgery under general anesthesia on August 31st, 2022.
Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, Kingsley decided to contact The Case Handler team to find out if we could help. Our team jumped into action and upon thorough investigation, we learned that the vehicle that hit Kingsley was uninsured when the accident occurred! Thankfully, Kingsley had uninsured motorist coverage under his own insurance company to protect him from this exact situation. With the help of our experienced Brooklyn reckless driving accident attorney at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, all of Kingsley’s medical bills were paid and he recovered life-changing compensation!
