What Happened?
On December 7th, 2020, Aaron was driving westbound on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) around 8 AM. As he was slowing to traffic ahead at Exit 31, Kent Avenue, the second car behind him told the police that they were “unable to stop in time” and rear-ended the car directly behind Aaron. The force of that collision pushed that car into Aaron’s vehicle! Immediately after the accident, Aaron complained of back and neck pain. He was removed from the scene and taken by ambulance to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged with prescriptions for pain medication.
Aaron injured his neck, back, and right shoulder (partial thickness rotator cuff tear) as a result of the accident. He experienced ongoing pain in his neck and lower back. The pain in his lower back would radiate to both lower extremities with occasional numbness and tingling in both legs. Prolonged sitting or standing increased his back pain. Aaron’s right shoulder pain was aggravated by overhead activities. When minimally invasive pain management therapy was not enough treatment to help Aaron’s shoulder, he underwent right shoulder surgery on May 25th, 2021. Due to his ongoing symptoms, he was unable to return to work and lost wages for several months as a result.
All thanks to a friend’s recommendation, Aaron heard about Adam Handler – The Case Handler! Two days after his accident, he called our team for legal help. The insurance company of the vehicle that hit Aaron denied any responsibility for the accident since their car only hit Aaron’s vehicle because “the impact was so great” that it was unavoidable and not their fault. Despite being the last car hit in a three-car collision, our excellent Brooklyn multi-car accident attorney from Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP recovered Aaron’s lost wages, took care of his medical bills, and successfully recovered a combined settlement of $138,250.00 from the insurance company’s of BOTH drivers!
