“I have nothing but great things to say about Adam, Matt, and Sandra. They worked with me with my tight schedule and made sure I received everything I was supposed to get and more. I am so happy to have them working on my case and they made sure I wasn't disappointed at the end. Thank you guys for your hard work, dedication, and all you did for me. I couldn't have done this without you. You are the real MVP Adam and is greatly appreciated. Much love and best wishes to everyone!!!!”
- Kaci from Brooklyn, New York
What Happened?
On September 26, 2022, Kaci was pushing a stroller with an infant in it and walking on the crosswalk at the intersection of Henry Street and Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights. As she was walking west with the “walk” light illuminated, a vehicle turned right and hit the right side of Kaci! Right before she was hit, she saw the car turning towards her and quickly pushed the stroller out of the way but did not have enough time to get out of the way herself. Kaci was thrown into the air, landing on both knees and hitting her head on the pavement. Thankfully, she did not lose consciousness but remained dazed and confused for several minutes. She was then transported to the emergency room by ambulance, where she underwent evaluation, treatment, and was discharged a few hours later.
The accident resulted in injuries to her neck, lower back, right knee, and head. Kaci experienced persistent neck and lower back pain, accompanied by radiation pain to the right lower extremity with tingling in the right leg. She had increased back pain with prolonged sitting or standing. She also experienced right knee buckling and increased pain when walking long distances or when trying to kneel. For some time after the accident, she experienced headaches, intermittent dizziness, and blurred vision. Despite undergoing minimally invasive pain management procedures, her pain persisted, leading to her undergoing a lower back injection and right knee surgery in January 2023.
Thanks to the recommendation of a former client, Kaci decided to call The Case Handler team a few days after the accident. Despite the driver clearly reporting to the police that he hit Kaci with no denial, the Defendant’s insurance company was not cooperating. So we prepared to take them to court! Not wanting to go to trial against our excellent Brooklyn Heights pedestrian accident lawyer, the Defendant’s insurance company agreed to fairly compensate Kaci $75,000.00 and all of her medical expenses were paid!
