- Hector from Brooklyn, NY
What Happened?
On January 3, 2022, Hector was commuting to work in his company vehicle, navigating through slow traffic on the New York side of the George Washington Bridge (I-95). Suddenly, a large truck slammed into the rear of his vehicle, shattering his window and the tranquility of his morning commute. The truck driver confessed to law enforcement that he couldn’t stop in time to prevent a collision. Following the incident, Hector went to the emergency room where he underwent a comprehensive evaluation, received necessary treatment, and was discharged on the same day.
However, the repercussions of the accident were profound. Hector suffered from multiple injuries, affecting his neck, lower back, shoulders, and tailbone. He endured excruciating pain, which he rated between an 8 and 9 out of 10, intensifying with specific movements like lifting, bending, sitting, standing, reaching, and performing overhead activities. Additionally, the pain radiated from his neck to his left upper extremity, significantly impairing his daily activities. Despite undergoing minimally invasive pain management treatment for months, his suffering persisted. Eventually, he required neck and back pain management injections and underwent neck surgery under general anesthesia on August 16, 2022.
Remarkably, this wasn't Hector's first encounter with adversity. Over a decade ago, he sought legal assistance from attorney Adam Handler after another accident. Now, facing a second ordeal, Hector unequivocally turned to The Case Handler team for support. “There is no other door I can knock on than Adam Handler,” said Hector. Throughout the legal proceedings, the defendant’s insurance company attempted to downplay Hector’s injuries, even resorting to covert surveillance to challenge his claims. However, undeterred by their tactics, our Brooklyn company vehicle accident lawyer adamantly rejected their settlement offer of $320,000.00. Instead, our personal injury team fought for Hector’s rights, ultimately securing a $700,000.00 settlement and ensuring that all of his medical expenses were covered!
