“Adam works with you honestly and has your back. He is my friend and like my brother! This law firm is not there for themselves, they are there for you.”
- DJ Tony from Brooklyn, NY
What Happened?
On June 7, 2020, DJ Tony was riding his bicycle in Brooklyn around 2:00 pm. While biking near McKeever Place and Sullivan Place, he encountered a raised metal object in the roadway that was later identified as a utility access cover. DJ Tony did not see the object while riding, and his front wheel hit it, causing him to be thrown off the bicycle and crash on the ground. He struck his head and felt dazed but did not lose consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, where he was examined, treated, and released.
Following the accident, DJ Tony suffered injuries to his neck, lower back, left rib, and head. He experienced neck pain that radiated to his left shoulder, with intermittent cramping of his left hand. His lower back pain radiated to his left lower extremity and was aggravated by prolonged sitting or cold weather. Since his ribs hit the handlebars when he fell forward, DJ Tony also experienced pain and tenderness over his left ribs. Additionally, he suffered from headaches for several months. Thankfully, conservative treatment was successful, and he did not require surgery.
Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, DJ Tony heard great things about attorney Adam Handler and our personal injury team at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP. Despite having an accident amid a pandemic when the courts were closed, our diligent Brooklyn bicycle road hazard accident lawyers were dedicated to ensuring DJ Tony recovered the highest possible compensation for his case. With The Case Handler team on his side, all of DJ’s medical expenses were paid, and he received a substantial confidential settlement from the Defendant’s insurance company!
