What Happened?
On August 4, 2016, Mark stopped at a red light at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and East 55th Street in Kings County. When the light turned green, Mark proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a commercial van that ran a red light and hit the front passenger side of Mark’s car. When the police arrived at the scene, the defendant driving the commercial van claimed that they had the green light and Mark was at fault of the accident. On top of that, there were no witnesses of the accident to prove otherwise.
Mark was taken by ambulance to the emergency room of Kings County Hospital Center for evaluation and was subsequently discharged to go home. He was given medicine to alleviate the pain he was feeling in his neck and upper back. Mark continued having upper back pain and neck pain that radiated to his right shoulder, arm, and wrist.
Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, Mark contacted Adam Handler. While Mark focused on physical therapy and his at-home exercise program, The Case Handler dealt with his liability issue (since the defendant was not admitting fault for the accident) and as a result, our team successfully helped Mark optimize his settlement outcome through tough negotiation with the Defendant’s insurance company.
