What Happened?
On February 11, 2022, Teona was on her way to school, crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, when a speeding driver failed to yield to pedestrians, turned left, and struck her. When police arrived, the driver claimed that Teona had appeared out of nowhere in front of their vehicle.
