What Happened?
On June 16th, 2021, Greg was driving westbound on Avenue K in Brooklyn, New York. He was approaching the intersection of East 36th Street and proceeded through the intersection since he did not have a stop sign or traffic light. As he was driving through, another vehicle driving southbound on East 36th Street went through the same intersection and t-boned the passenger’s side of Greg’s car! The driver that hit Greg told the police that she thought the intersection was a 4-way stop intersection and didn’t realize passing cars did not have a stop sign. Greg was taken to the emergency room where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged home.
Greg injured his neck, back, and left shoulder due to the accident. Prolonged sitting made his back pain worse and any overhead activities made his left shoulder pain worse. In addition to the pain he felt in his left shoulder, he also experienced clicking, popping, and weakness of the left arm. He attended physical therapy a few times a week in conjunction with a home exercise program. When minimally invasive pain management treatment was not enough for his injuries, he underwent pain management injections. Greg did not need surgery, thankfully, but he did miss several months of work.
Thanks to another lawyer in Brooklyn, Greg was recommended to attorney Adam Handler! Greg contacted our firm five days after the accident and we jumped into action right away. While Greg focused on healing, our team handled his bodily injury claim with the Defendant’s insurance company. With the help of our skilled Brooklyn t-bone crash lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, Greg’s medical bills were paid, his lost wages were recovered, and he won a $24,000.00 settlement from the Defendant’s insurance company within 1.5 years!
