What Happened?
On February 15, 2020, Damon and his friends were driving to the Poconos to go skiing. While Damon was sitting in the backseat of the car that was going approximately 45-50 mph, the car began to swerve due to terrible road conditions. The driver lost control of the vehicle while entering a curve in the roadway and hit a dirt embankment! The car flipped over and landed upside down! The windows shattered and, thankfully, Damon and his friends were able to crawl out of the vehicle until help arrived. He went to Geisinger Community Medical Center for medical evaluation and was later released home.
As a result of the accident, Damon injured his head and suffered a nasal fracture (broken nose) with an obstructive traumatic right-sided septal deviation with traumatic septal subluxation. To put it more plainly, Damon’s broken nose made it incredibly difficult to breathe properly. His head was aching and he felt a lot of pressure around his face. To help Damon breathe normally and fix his broken nose, he underwent nasal reconstruction surgery and a long recovery.
Thanks to the recommendation of Damon’s sister, Damon contacted The Case Handler team for legal help! When the insurance company offered $4,500 to settle Damon’s bodily injury claim, we knew that this was a slap in the face. With the help of our knowledgeable personal injury attorneys at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, all of Damon’s medical bills were taken care of and he recovered a substantially higher settlement award!
