What Happened?
On July 13th, 2020, Shawn was riding a motorcycle on Dikeman Street in Hempstead, Long Island, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling from the other direction. That careless driver disregarded the stop sign, struck Shawn and fled the accident scene!
The collision caused Shawn’s body to propel through the air and crash onto two other vehicles that were parked on the side of the road. Furthermore, Shawn’s motorcycle broke apart and collided with multiple vehicles.
As a result of this horrific hit-and-run accident, Shawn sustained serious injuries including fractures to his right forearm, pelvis and collarbone. Shawn was immediately rushed into the hospital where he underwent a series of treatments and procedures that lasted longer than 12 weeks!
Today, Shawn is still experiencing some pain but he is getting better by the day. With The Case Handler by his side, Shawn recovered a lump sum amount in a significantly short period of time. The Case Handler team was able to secure maximum settlements from two different insurance policies (including a SUM/underinsured motorist policy in his household) to get Shawn the justice and compensation he very much deserved.
The Case Handler team was made known to Shawn through a friend, and what a blessing that was. Thanks to the diligent and dedicated legal work from our New York motorcycle accident attorneys Adam Handler and Matthew Goodstein, Shawn was able to get all of his medical bills covered too.
