What Happened?
On August 7th, 2020, Alicia and Sanaa were both passengers in a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle on the right side (t-boned) at the intersection of Fillmore Avenue and Ryder Street in Brooklyn, NY. When the collision occurred, the vehicle Alicia and Sanaa were riding in was also pushed into another vehicle that was parked on the side of the road! After the accident, they were transported by ambulance to the emergency room of Mount Sinai Hospital in Brooklyn, where they were evaluated and discharged home.
As a result of the accident, Alicia injured her neck, back, shoulders, and right hand/thumb. Sanaa injured her neck, lower back, shoulders, left knee, and left ankle. Alicia’s persistent neck pain radiated to the right upper extremity and she had difficulty performing right-handed tasks due to her right hand/thumb pain. Sanaa had difficulty raising her arms and walking. Thankfully, they did not need any surgeries, but they did have extensive physical therapy, ultrasound, and massages 2-3 times a week plus other doctor visits.
Thanks to a family friend, Alicia and Sanaa were told to call The Case Handler team! The driver that hit them told the police that the reason the accident happened in the first place was because their headlights were off. Alicia also had a previous car accident several years back that involved a similar neck and back injury that would make her case more difficult for other lawyers…but not for our team! With the help of our diligent Brooklyn injured passenger lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, Alicia and Sanaa successfully recovered compensation from the Defendant’s insurance company!
“I know attorneys don’t always speak to clients, but Adam was very much involved in the case. It’s impressive, commendable, and he deserves to be recognized for it.” -Alicia and Sanaa
