What Happened?
On March 8, 2015, Naomi was at a Patterson, NY ski resort parking lot when she slipped on ice; falling on her outstretched left hand. She immediately felt severe hand pain and was taken to Danbury Hospital Emergency Department by her friend. She was evaluated and diagnosed by the doctor with a broken left wrist (closed fracture of distal end of radius).
As a result of her fall due to the ice, Naomi’s injuries required a medical procedure to align the ends of the fractured bone (closed reduction) and two surgical interventions to implant a plate, six locking screws, and three non-locking to her left wrist. She was confined to her bed for one week and was totally disabled for approximately six weeks. Although several weeks of therapy did gradually improve Naomi’s injury, she still had difficulty bearing weight on her left wrist and felt tightness around the area where the plate was implanted.
Naomi didn’t know where to go for legal guidance, so she decided to research reputable lawyers online. That’s when she found The Case Handler team! With the help of our dependable slip and fall accident lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, our team fought with the insurance company associated with the property, Granite State Insurance (their initial offer was $15,000), and successfully helped Naomi recover $98,500.00!
